Duolingo Russian-Spanish tree (ultimate challenge 2018 complete)

My Duolingo Russian-Spanish language challenge 2018

Does using Duolingo imply any risks?

In spite of the Duolingo course being Russian-Spanish, I am blogging in English language to be able to provide the most of my knowledge and experience as English is still and is going to be the language I can express myself the best beside my mother tongue, Hungarian, of course.

The Russian-Spanish course is the ultimate difficulty level for me among the language trees I have completed so far. It is the most difficult because of Russian and its Cyrillic characters and still unfamiliar looking and hard-to-pronunce and hard-to-read long, tongue-twisting words.

My background with Russian language

I was taught Russian way back in primary school for about 2 years as far as I can remember. Yeah, it was more like having been taught than having learnt Russian language actually, as I did not like the language and our teacher at all. Know, a few years wiser I realize that our teacher, Mrs Lidia was not so bad after all, I just did not like her very much because of the compulsory language being forced on Hungary at that time due to the political situation of that time and, that she was strict and demanded us to learn and behave. Who like strict teachers anyway, who even want to teach and ’force’ us to teach, right? :D

Ol’ skool learning does work, folks!

I remember a lot from my primary school Russian lessons, so, yes, ol’ skool language teaching with its repetitive, mostly frontal and pair work methods do work! Maybe times and attitudes of children, and their parents are changing and they are not much buying these methods, I mean, most of them, as far as my experience as a teacher in my rural primary school experience goes.

Nice award, right? I find Duolingo's desing cool and motivating

A new era of language learning with Duolingo

New times require new methods, and Duolingo is a very motivating, user friendly, innovative, free and effective way of learning languages online (or offline as well if you buy Duolingo Plus).

My way of using Duolingo

To be honest sometimes I was rushing through my Russian-Spanish Duolingo lessons, reading many new words just once in the lesson. It is not good, but I always do practice, so my vocabulary is being strengthened.

The point is that I am testing myself in a way that I learn languages on Duolingo without studying the rules previously and writing out new words in a vocabulary and repeating them, like I had been doing for so many years at school. I can tell you that my approach works for me. It might not be the best, but I enjoy learning this way, and this is of key importance. No matter how great a method is if I do not enjoy the journey of studying. That way the method can not teach me as well as the one I am enjoying.

I use different courses in Duolingo to practise German, Spanish and Russian language
Languages I study with Duolingo

I do not encourage anyone to follow my example of exposing myself to new grammar first barely in the new sentences Duolingo brings me. I think it is up to the person to decide what is best for him or her.

After the completion of the Russian-Spanish tree, I felt totally drained of my energy. (Read more about the challenge of finding the balance in my everyday life in my YouTube video description). I needed a new plan for daily routine still including using Duolingo. After re-thinking (and re-dreaming) my life, I decided to do about half the amount of the Duolingo language studies I have been doing so far.

Duolingo has some serious risks! (funny section)

I became terrified at the thought, that if I continued to go on with the hardcore 33-lesson-a-day-Duolingo-madness, maybe I would grow an owl-head too, LOL! xD

Not even my favourite Ganoderma coffee could cure that. ha-hah!

Duolingo is risky! An owl-head can grow on your neck from using it too much, ha-ha!
Side-effects of Duolingo, LOL!

Okay guys, I am just kidding, you know me! Duo is one of the cutest and most useful owls in the world and I am honoured to be his Padawan. May the Force of Studying Languages at Home be with You! :)

P.S.:

I have taken the liberty to plagiarize my own work and copied this sections from the end of my YouTube video. And it goes like this:

Well, for those of you die-hard enough to read all my gibberish, I have one more important announcement: you have probably been curious about who the hack I can be and searched my websites on Google (you know, those that are annoyingly subtitled in all my videos).

If you become interested in any kind of way, products and business-wise in what I do, I have some good news for you:

You do not need to do what I do.

I mean, you can make better quality videos like I do, you can make worse, or you can decide not to give a flying f...k about making videos at all. It is all up to the individual and what he or she find comfortobale in doing. The emphasis is on ’doing’, acting, if someone wants more from life.

I believe that the not-so-HD quality (to be polite) of my videos can be better duplicated than if I used some really expensive state-of-the-art high tech gismos that are expensive and not all average Joes (or Jerries) can afford to buy them. And here is the point: DXN Ganoderma coffee business is the MLM business of ordinary, everyday people. Not need for all sorts of degrees, investment and to be 'that type' who can sell products or who is a born negotiator. Of course those of you who are lucky enough to be born with great communication or presentation skills and are experts in homeopathy and natural medicine, or are doctors can also be very successful - or not.

Let me say a few more words on this. Being a great teacher, mechanic, trainer etc. does not mean imply that one is gonna be successful in Network Marketing. This is a whole different profession that also has to be learnt. Coming from all sorts of personal and professional life backgrounds give the unique spice to the business, which makes it awesomely exciting.

DXN products and marketing plan works flawlessly, no matter my methods of advetising and branding myself. You also do not have to learn languages to be successful in this business. Speaking one or two is enough, although being adept in more languages is an advantage.
